While keeping to many beliefs firmly rooted in the ways of the old world, Parri Estate equally embraces many new world winemaking beliefs. Fruit is hand-picked and hand-pruned in selected blocks, combined with handcrafted winemaking techniques such as small batch fermentation and single vineyard wine production. A combination of traditional and modern philosophies reinforces our commitment to quality and long term success.

The concept of ‘terroir’ is deeply rooted in the wine growing regions of France where families have been producing single estate wines for hundreds of years. Parri Estate believe strongly in the concept of ‘terroir’ and that the quality and style of wine is determined in the vineyard by factors such as soil types, nutrient availability, water, and sunshine. Each vintage will stand alone and be characterised by the subtle interaction of grape variety, season and climate.

Our premium range of wines called 'Pangkarra', is named after the aboriginal word which represents the characteristics of a specific site including the climate, sunshine, rain and soil.  The Pangkarra label reflects the finest estate grown wines produced by Parri Estate each year and reflects the commitment of the Phillips family to a philosophy based on quality.
